Beowulf Marathon

Since 1954, Berkeley has been home to the annual Beowulf Marathon in which students, professors, and members of the community gather together to read Beowulf as it should be read: aloud, all the way though, in Old English, and with beer.

The marathon typically takes place in May; check the calendar for more information.
